Multi-table game of Blackjack is a form of tournament which is played among several players at Blackjack tables in the casino. It is played as an online blackjack game as well though it is not as popular as the single table blackjack tournament online.
A multi-table Blackjack tournament lasts for several rounds that consist of numerous hands as prefixed by the casinos. Every round in the game of multi-table Blackjack begins when the players on all tables place a bet with equal number of chips.
The player who receives the cards first is known as the starting player or the dealer of the round. The starting player makes the first betting decision and the rest of the players follow the wager with the same value of chips as the first player. Like Texas Holdem Poker, the players take turns to be the starting player of every round.
The cards dealt to all the players are visible to everyone on the tables. As per the standard Blackjack rules, the player with a maximum total, wins. At the end of the round, the players having the maximum chips on every table qualify for the next round. Some of the casinos also allow the runners up to play the next round. The rest of the players are eliminated from the game. The chips won in the previous round are not used in the new round of the game. Every round in the game begins with a fresh bet of equal value of chips.
With the elimination of players from every table, the number of tables decrease as the game moves forward. In the final round of the multi-table Blackjack, there is just one table left. The player who owns the maximum number of chips at the end of this final round wins the tournament.
In fact, in certain casinos the reward is divided among the winner and the runners-up based on a payout chart which is pre-determined at casinos. The payout chart for multi-table Blackjack states the different rewards for the first, second, third positions and so on. The payout table differs from one casino to another. The worth of the topmost rewards in the multi-table Blackjack depends upon the number of participants in the game. The more the numbers of players participating in the game, the bigger is the size of the reward in the game.
